The Republican Party of Florida and the Sunshine Summit

Too often I come across people telling me the Republican party is over and the message is stale. I’ve watched candidates and friends leave the GOP claiming the party left them. While I don’t agree with their sentiments, it is unfortunate that people have become so disenfranchised by the Republican party they feel the need to leave and find a different party affiliation.

Over the weekend the Republican Party of Florida hosted the Sunshine Summit in Orlando and reignited the spark for Republican activism in the state.

The Sunshine Summit stage was graced by every Republican presidential candidate with the exception of former New York Governor George Pataki. Presidential candidates had a chance to stump on red meat topics such as as foreign policy and immigration. They also did not shy away from taking shots at Democratic frontrunner, Hillary Clinton, and President Barack Obama.

For Florida Republicans, this weekend was a chance to see the presidential candidates in one location, uncensored, and energized about their vision for America should they take the White House next November.

On Saturday morning, Chairman Blaise Ingoglia took the stage and reminded the audience “we must not rest from now until election day next November.” Chairman Ingoglia painted a picture of what Tuesday, November 8, 2016 would look like if Republicans stayed home and did not vote — Hillary Clinton would win the White House.

With a year until the presidential election, the Republican Party of Florida has started their GOTV efforts early and the momentum was apparent this weekend at the Sunshine Summit. Chairman Blaise Ingoglia has set the bar for the other battleground states when it comes to the 2016 presidential election.

Even with primary season slowly beginning, the Republican Party of Florida and Chairman Ingoglia are capitalizing on the importance of energizing the base at every turn, especially in the digital space.

Aside from candidates stumping and campaign swag being sold, the Republican Party of Florida used the Sunshine Summit to host a panel on How the GOP Plans to use Digital to Win the Sunshine State in 2016. The panel gave insight on the Republican Party of Florida’s use of digital marketing in the upcoming election cycle. From the onset, Chairman Ingoglia has made the Republican Party of Florida’s digital presence and use of social media to win big in the battleground state for Republicans a top priority.

From the innovative idea and execution of Sunshine Summit to making digital a cornerstone in the game plan to turn Florida red in 2016, Chairman Ingoglia and the Republican Party of Florida have embodied the sentiment that we are the future of the Republican party. The time is now, and according to my magic 8ball, the outlook for a Republican victory in Florida next November is very good.
